As publishers of the performing arts magazines, which include: TPAC Broadway, Schermerhorn InConcert, Great Performances at Vanderbilt, Nashville Ballet, Nashville Opera and The Tennessee Repertory Theater publications, it gives us great pleasure to present the fourth edition of our annual newsstand publication, Nashville Arts & Entertainment magazine. It’s our hope that you will have as much fun reading as we had creating this year’s overview of the best Nashville has to offer in arts & entertainment.
Through the years we have found that Nashville Arts & Entertainment has several different audiences: from the life-long Nashvillian, who has come to realize that there are many undiscovered gems to explore in our great city, to the millions of annual visitors who are in need of an easy to read guide to the very best of what Nashville has to offer. Also, we have expanded our audience further this year by including a special CMA section, which begins on page 57. The cover of this section will draw you into one of Nashville’s greatest resources -- the charitable hearts of Nashville celebrities. Even as we all find ways to adjust to the nature of our new economy, it is encouraging to see how others continue to reach out and help those less fortunate. And don’t forget giving back to the community is not always about money. There are many charitable organizations within our community that need volunteers. Whether giving an evening to Room in the Inn or serving during the Thanksgiving holidays at the Nashville Rescue Mission, there are unlimited opportunities to give back.
